ANIELA BACZEWSKI, MA, LPC Associate

Supervised by Louis Laves-Webb, LCSW, LPC-S

Therapy is a process that starts with you choosing who you genuinely want alongside you in your journey toward self-discovery, exploration, and enrichment. I bring a guiding presence to assist you in understanding yourself more profoundly. I sincerely believe that you are the expert in your needs, true desires, and overall life. This perspective allows me to be collaborative with you and provides the opportunity to be genuine and transparent within our therapeutic relationship.

I consider myself to be delicate in my approach to therapy, incorporating ideas such as mindfulness and meditation. I also widely use the concept of working in the ‘here-and-now’, which allows you to focus on what is happening in the present moment and begin healing in real time. I may utilize techniques such as self-awareness in relation to the body, while exploring feelings that may arise as your journey begins to deepen. This can be an effective way of increasing knowledge about yourself and your interactions with the world. I may also implement a “Narrative approach” with clients. This can allow you to deconstruct, adjust, or recreate your story in a way that can transform your perspective on yourself, others you care about, or the outside world.

Throughout the process, I lead by incorporating empathy, compassion, and patience for you and your individual story. I continuously take into consideration your needs and expectations as the master of your own life, while sharing my knowledge and expertise to reach your unique therapy goals.

I am currently available to see adolescents, individuals, and couples who may present a range of issues, including but not limited to: Anxiety, Depression, Life Stressors, Relationship Troubles, Familial Concerns, Substance Use and Addictions, Communication Difficulties, Challenging Life Transitions, and Lower or Effected Self-Esteem.

My experience includes: counseling at the Northwest Counseling and Wellness Center, focusing on healing from addiction in a group format. I have also had the pleasure of working at Capital Area Counseling, where I saw a large diversity of clients and honed my skill set with the therapeutic process. I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology at Texas State University, and completed my Masters degree in Counseling at St. Edward’s University here in Austin, Texas. In my free time, I enjoy exploring the outdoors via biking, hiking, and swimming, learning to cook new recipes, and spending quality time with my loved ones.
